Doug.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re in the South Peninsula and looking for a class or gear, go there.\u00a0 For reals.\u00a0 I still need to get my inherited gear, make sure it fits and functions properly, so I ended up only buying what I couldn&#8217;t rent.<\/p>\n<p>Anyways, this isn&#8217;t meant to be a long post.\u00a0 I just wanted to have my dive logs posted here since I spent two hours trying to figure out this rental dive computer.\u00a0 Eventually, I&#8217;d like to find a better way of incorporating them into my blag than ugly posts like this.\u00a0 Dive logging WordPress plugins are depressingly sparse and outdated.<\/p>\n<h4>2011.10.22, 09:48 &#8211; Open Water Dive #1<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Lover&#8217;s Point (Cove 3), Monterey, CA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buddy: Erin<\/li>\n<li>Computer: <a href=\"http:\/\/scubaradio.oceanicworldwide.com\/p_computers_veo100nx.html\" target=\"_blank\">Oceanic Veo 100 Nx<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Weight: 36Lbs<\/li>\n<li>Water Temperature: 53\u00b0F<\/li>\n<li>Beginning Pressure Group: n\/a<\/li>\n<li>Max Depth: 28&#8242;<\/li>\n<li>Bottom Time: 0:27<\/li>\n<li>Ending Pressure Group: D<\/li>\n<li>Bottom Time to Date: 0:27<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Water was more bearable than I expected, but I ended up pretty damned cold towards the end.\u00a0 Doug toured us through a canal between kelp, grass and rocks.\u00a0 Tons of starfish, and some huge sunflower starfish, he stopped and pointed out several tiny flounder.\u00a0 We saw some harbor seals next to us while on the surface, but not underwater.<\/p>\n<h4>2011.10.22, 11:31 &#8211; Open Water Dive #2<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Lover&#8217;s Point (Cove 3), Monterey, CA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Surface Interval: 1:14<\/li>\n<li>Water Temperature: 55\u00b0F<\/li>\n<li>Beginning Pressure Group: B<\/li>\n<li>Max Depth: 23&#8242;<\/li>\n<li>Bottom Time: 0:32<\/li>\n<li>Ending Pressure Group: J<\/li>\n<li>Bottom Time to Date: 0:59<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This time I was fucking cold.\u00a0 Fortunately, Todd&#8217;s drysuit had a leak and he wanted a short dive.\u00a0 Erin lost her mask while towing me and Todd managed to find it. \u00a0After descending we started off with some skills like tired diver towing, mask clearing, fin pivots and regulator retrieval; then it was back to touring around.<\/p>\n<h4>2011.10.23, 10:24 &#8211; Open Water Dive #3<\/h4>\n<p><strong>McCabe Beach, Monterey, CA<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buddy: Erin<\/li>\n<li>Water Temperature: 50\u00b0F<\/li>\n<li>Beginning Pressure Group: n\/a<\/li>\n<li>Max Depth: 29&#8242;<\/li>\n<li>Bottom Time: 0:29<\/li>\n<li>Ending Pressure Group: D<\/li>\n<li>Bottom Time to Date: 1:28<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Practiced removing weights &amp; BCD on the surface.\u00a0 A harbour seal swam underneath us and sat beneath a rock, watching us for a minute.\u00a0 As we started continuing on, it swam alongside us briefly.<\/p>\n<h4>2011.10.23, 12:00 &#8211;
