Nasty Old Refrigerator, Nasty Old Carpet

Last night, I dreamt that Jaes and I moved again, only this time, he picked the apartment out himself. After he came home and announced that he had found the perfect place, saying that it was awesome, he took me to look at it. We climbed a narrow set of carpeted stairs and popped open the door to reveal the kitchen. The first thing I noticed about the kitchen was the beaten-looking refrigerator (as it was right next to the door). I pulled it open to reveal bent and sagging metal shelves, an absence of freezer, and general filth. I looked at Jaes and he reminded me that we own our refrigerator and thus won’t need this one.
Next we walked into the living room, though for some reason in my dream, I didn’t think of it as the living room at all. It was a decent size but contained (to the left side) a bathtub backed by mirrors, up on a platform, which you had to climb 5 or 6 stairs to reach.
Next the bedroom, small but decent. Then the “real” living room, which was the last room in the apartment, furthest away from the front door. It was small, but the couch and tv would fit.
I then asked Jaes if the landlord was planning on replacing/shampooing the carpets, as all the rooms except the kitchen and bedroom had filthy carpet. He said “no”, so I started really inspecting it, noticing in a closet area that the carpet was laid on top of another. When I peeled it back, I saw evidence of yet another layer underneath the second layer, but the second layer seemed cleaner than the first.
Finally, Jaes showed me the bathroom, a wonder to behold. Apparently, the owner had focused all his/her attention in this room. It was huge, with 2 side-by-side glass-doored showers, a drying area with body blow driers built into the wall, another tub with shower, toilets, sinks, and a vanity area. There was a door at the opposite end of the bathroom which I assumed was to a walk-in closet, though I never did look.
