The most important crappy WEP key?

We were in some town and jenny worked nearby for a church.  While we were walking around I caught a guy following us and had jenny stand outside while I ran into a building and up the stairs directly above the doro, waiting for him.  when he walked in, i blacked out for a second and when i came to, he was up thes tairs a bit and I called him out.  I also pointed out that i had blacked out, and was wondering if I’d killed the guy in a crawlspace on the stairs, or if he’d been there the hole time- he quickly responded that he’d been there and seen everything.  i don’t know why thery were fololwing us but apparently they wanted to find out what a password ftheyd stollen from the church ment and intended to ask jenny.  when we got back outside , she told them that was the password ofr their network.  it was a really shitty password, and after we told the mwhat it was we started running away.  i asked if she wanted me to try logging in with my phone and changing it before they could make any use of it, but typing on my phone was taking forever  She said it was using wordpress running on linux and that i could get to it by ip- except when i asked for ip she started telling me an internal address.  As we were heading away a bunch of cops cme out of nowhere and stopped us.  one of them didn’t like when i reached back and scratched my buttt without asking first- and then when i asked and he said i could i made some loud and obnoxious relaxing osunsds.  they made us put the bag of stuff we had donew and as they walked away i stopped an officer and said I’d like to try changing the passsowrd with my phone.  He said sure, but to go down the path we were going, rather than back to the crime scene.  When he said that, I realized he was not a real cop, and then saw him talking to one of the tails who got pissed and saw me, jumping awall to try and chase me.  the guy in a cop uniform chased as well and kept yelling “stop floating with me!” as we ran and tried to lock him in a bathroom.Somewhere along the line i realized that the password was probably just the wep key and can’t imagine why there was such a fuss over it.
